Career options after MBBS in Pakistan

There are many paths to choose from after MBBS in Pakistan.

Here are these summarised ;

1. One year house job after MBBS

2. NLE if you graduated after March 2022

Clinical Job
In Clinical there are Training and Non-Training path

Training

1. FCPS (4-5years) after this you’ll be a consultant

2. MD/MS (4-5years) after this you’ll be a consultant

3. MCPS (2 years) after this you’ll be specialist

A consultant can go either to be a professor or a sub-specialist

Non-Training

1. Resident Medical Officer (RMO) after RMO you can be a Senior Medical Officer

2. General Practitioner

Non-Clinical Job
1. Master of Public Health (2 years)

2. Demomstrator : MHPE(2years)

:MPhil(2years) then Phd (2-8years)

3. Health Administrarion then MBA (2years)

4. Clinical Research
